Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Review

Slider phones are behind and I can not be happy. Clicking as a phone pushes some satisfactory snaps. Xiaomi has updated the form factor of 2018, though with a large beer-free display, four-camera and premium ceramic manufacturing materials. This is in our Xiaomi MI Mix 3-Hands.

What strikes do you see Mix Mix 3 on its screen? 19. 9: 9-party ratio and 600-nut peak with 93.4 percent of the phone with 6.3 9 inch Full HD + AMOLED panels. The bottom of the screen is a small and just short, which is covered in the gorilla glass. You can always enable settings in display and you can adjust the color of the display color.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 offers a 93.4% screen-to-body ratio and AMOLED display 6.3 9 and no notch

Pick M Mix 3 and the first thing you pay attention is its weight; It is easy to use the heavy phone I used to use. In 218 grams, it is larger than 10 percent more than the Vivo Nex(199 grams) or Galaxy Note 9 (201 grams). MI Mix 3 is shorter than a small slimmer and note 9, but the ceramic panel is more aggressive curve in the pan so it reduces “edgy”.

Manual phishing mechanism here is standout feature, the newodymium magnets are used when the slider is open or closed in the area used to lock. When you start displaying the display, when you encounter some resistance, magents interact and then click the old click that contains the screen pop. It feels great and Geomi can cope with it 300,000 cycles. Contrary to other phones with hidden cameras, the mechanism is completely manual, so no motor is required. This is a good solution and is likely to suffer from failure.

The manual slider uses nitrium magnets to lock the screen by the nerve. It’s big, nostalic and morely satisfying.

The predefined slider task is to start pioneering cameras, but it can be customized to respond to incoming calls or start some applications. Slider sounds can also be switched, so a lightber noise is easy to get as a pie. Speaking Pie, MI Mix 3 got MIUI 10 and the box out with Android 9. When Amy Mix is in landscape mode in 3 landing mode, when screening on the screen shows an in-game menu to record a screen or hide screenshots to hide notifications.

The slider is not just for fun. Like other phones without a bezel, such as the Oppo Find X and the Vivo Nex, the front camera only appears when necessary. If you are not using the unlocking sensor or the front camera, the phone can remain in its default state. Therefore, only when you want a selfie or when you need to unlock your phone, slide the screen towards the cameras. The additional layer of security adds a bit of peace of mind.

The front-facing camera only pops up when required

Those front cameras are a Sony IMX576 24 MP with 1.8 micron pixels and aperture lens f / 2.2 and a secondary camera of 2 MP for portrait mode and bokeh effects. The main sensor uses pixel clustering in low light situations to combine light data from four adjacent pixels, reducing the resolution to 6MP and then raising the image to 24MP. Portrait mode, studio lighting effects, and AI settings embellished by AI complete the self-portrait options. I noticed some flashes of lenses at the bottom of the frame, probably from the ceiling light that bounces off the edge of the section of the screen just below the camera lens.

There is a case included in the Mi Mix 3 box that has a cutout on the bottom, so you can still slide the screen down with a lit case. The Type-C USB cable in the box also has a kind of scalloped case so you can charge your Mi Mix 3 and still use the slider (other USB Type-C cables do not allow you to do this). There is a free 10-watt wireless charger in the box and a 5V / 3A, 9V / 2A, 12V / 1.5A charging block (with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0).

The battery is a tiny 3,200 mAh cell, with the mechanism of the slider to blame for the lower capacity of the battery. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ if you wish to purchase an optional additional charger, as well as the regular Qi standard.

By flipping the phone, the ceramic construction material and camera design remain intact, with an elegant MIX logo on the bottom. A capacitive fingerprint scanner offers options if you do not want to use the face lock on the front. Mi Mix 3 includes NFC for contactless payments.

The lower edge has two loudspeaker grilles, but only the one on the right is a speaker, the other simply hides a microphone. It gets quite noisy and it does not sound terrible either, but it is far from being excellent. It goes without saying that there is nowhere to include a headphone jack on a slider phone and I would do my best to keep the Mi Mix 3 away from the water as it does not have IP rating. You’ll find a 3.5mm to USB-Type-C adapter included in the box so you can easily use your existing wired headphones.

The dual cameras on the back are both 12MP sensors. The main sensor is a Sony IMX363 with 1.4 micron pixels and two pixel autofocus. An aperture lens f / 1.8 sits on top with four OIS axes. The secondary sensor is a Samsung S5K3M3 + with 1 micron pixels and an aperture optical lens f / 2.4 2x on the front.

Both cameras support several AI modes, but Sony’s main sensor is the one that handles video in slow motion at 960 fps (at 1080p or 720p). However, it is not true 960 fps as you would find it in a Galaxy Note 9, since the IMX363 does not have a built-in DRAM in which to store such high frame rates before downloading them to the image buffer. The Mi Mix 3 uses frame interpolation to achieve 960 fps, which means that it will not be of the best quality that is found in a device with DRAM built into the sensor.

Xiaomi highlighted the low-light performance of the Mi Mix 3 through the night mode, publishing images side by side with the Huawei P20 Pro, which shows that the Mi Mix 3 is superior. Some of the differences were minimal, and we would have to face Mi Mix 3 with Huawei’s latest, the Mate 20 Pro, to see if Xiaomi has really outperformed its Chinese competitor in low-light betting. I do not have a Mate 20 Pro with me in Beijing, so you’ll have to wait a little longer for that comparison. The Mi Mix 3 achieves its results in low light through the reduction of noise of multiple frames, the measurement of the light AI and the stabilization and calibration of the AI image.

The specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 exceed 10 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage with the Snapdragon 845 for approximately $ 720.
